How we launched a new digital brand with freenet in 3 months
Through the launch of Handyhelden, a new digital brand, freenet was able to achieve digital success.

How freenet sees increased online sales via Handyhelden
Freenet used to rely on sales via indirect online channels and offline store channel rather than their own website. This was caused by them using legacy commerce software, but this has changed now. Through their new brand Handyhelden, they are able to sell and service through their own website as part of a new digital success strategy. Their aim is to significantly increase their market share within the German mobile market by leveraging Gomibo’s telco ecommerce knowledge.
Bundled Offerings
Handyhelden has the ability to offer phones with subscriptions as bundles through an extensive comparison tool, boosting sales.
Optimized Digital Journey
Enhanced sales and service flows for increased conversion and a high NPS, including up- and cross-sell functionalities.
Fast Product Go-to-Market
Through powering the brand via the Gomibo commerce core, Handyhelden can launch new products in under 5 minutes.
Handyhelden's road to achieving digital succes
By launching Handyhelden as their new brand, freenet contributes strongly to their mission to reduce churn and increase digital sales. The combination of freenet’s value-for-money telco offerings and Gomibo’s ecommerce principles embedded in the customer journey greatly enhances their online presence. The optimized sales and service flow that Gomibo has perfected over the years ensures high conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
How we achieved a 3-month delivery for freenet
The delivery process was a collaborative one, with a clearly defined step by step approach. By using the out-of-the-box telco customer journeys that Gomibo provides, the configuration of Handyhelden could be handled very quickly. Since our commerce solution can exist on top of the existing freenet IT stack, we were able to go from contract signature to launching the brand within 3 months.
Delivery the Gomibo Way
The delivery for freenet was done according to our agile alternative to general digital transformation projects. We often recommend to go for a production pilot, which can typically be set up in three months. This is a fully operational channel parallel to your current solution with the same look and feel, but with a lot of improvements in terms of how products and services are shown and bought. Freenet did this by launching a new brand, but this can also be done through direct comparison and risk-free testing next to your existing brand.
